KitPvP is a Free For All pvp game with persistent progression where players spawn, choose from a variety of kits, and dive straight into combat. Every kill or assist allows players to earn XP, which will gradually add up overtime to level up. Players can also complete recurring challenges, form clans, participate in events, and dominate outposts.
I have teamed up with another developer and worked on various game features and internal systems in relation to the game. Here's a list of some of the features I have worked on:
Challenges are optional tasks that players can choose to complete in exchange for rewards such as XP. Each challenge has a fixed frequency and difficulty level. The rewards are based on said difficulty, while the frequency represents the minimum time players must wait before they can complete the same challenge again.
Each time a player kills another player, they receive XP based on multiple factors such as their health, food level and kit, which gradually accumulates to a certain amount required to level up. The higher the level, the harder it is to level up.
In addition to Levels, players can unlock up to 10 unique prestiges based on their level. Each prestige will be unlocked for every 10 levels a player reaches (e.g Reaching the 10th prestige requires achieving level 100).
That's it for this project. There are a lot more features and bug fixes I have worked on behind the scenes. This is merely a brief overview of the project.
